Facebook Friend Request

Sometimes I wonder

Why certain people I Know

In real life,

Refuse to add me as a friend,

On Facebook.

 

In real life

I can clearly see that they know

Who I am,

But as soon as I friend request

Them they email back

Asking me, “Who are you?”

And

“I only add people I know or have met?”

 

Online they seem to take me

As some sort of

Sexual predator

Going after their

Girl friends or wives,

Or some psycho off the street.

 

 

They refuse to

Even give it a chance,

To know me.

It’s like I am not worthy,

Of their online

Friendship.

 

Not Worthy,

What does that mean?

Why is it so hard

To make new friends,

On Facebook
